Booking and payment

On this web page about booking and payment, you find more information about why it is best to book ahead of time, how the booking process works, and walk-in bookings. And we also provide more information about the payment.

Book ahead of time

We recommend booking ahead of time for three reasons.

The booking process

Great, you are considering to book a tour with us! The first step to joining us is filling out our online booking form. Once you fill out the form, both you and we get an email with your booking details. We try to process bookings within 24 hours. But we are realistic too. We cannot always get back to you within this time.

If you book for a tour that departs within 48 hours after booking, we process these with priority. Still, it is recommendable to get in touch with us by phone or WhatsApp as well. Especially during peak season. Then we can let you know right away whether we have spots available for you to join us.

After receiving your booking, we process it and send you an email to let you know whether your booking is confirmed or not. And if you had questions or remarks, we get back to you about these in the same message. If we have questions or comments, we share those with you too.

Once everything is clear, we send you the booking confirmation document as soon as possible. During low season we mostly send the file the same day. During busy times it can take up to a couple of days.

Walk-in booking

For those who arrive in Wadi Rum without a booking, feel free to drop by our office. We will be happy to go over the available options with you. Keep in mind that we are not always in the office. Sometimes we have to take care of things outside the office. The best chance to find the office open is in the early morning and late afternoon.

Payment

When booking with us, a deposit or full prepayment is not required. You can pay the whole amount in cash Jordanian Dinars upon arrival. Remember that Rum village has no ATM and credit card facilities. So make sure to bring the needed cash from a city with many ATM’s like Aqaba, Petra, or Amman. If you don’t have enough Jordanian Dinars, you can pay in US Dollars (a surcharge applies).

For big groups, it is possible to wire the money into our bank account. The full amount needs to be in our account at least two weeks before your arrival. Note that we add a 3% surcharge to cover the costs of the bank transfer and exchange rate fluctuations.
