Some add-ons take place before or after your main tour, while others become part of the experience itself.

Experience options
Camel rides
All camel rides include transfers between Rum Village, the camp, and the camel starting points, where needed.
1-hour camel ride at the start of your jeep tour
Begin your desert experience with a camel ride from Rum Village toward Lawrence Spring before continuing your jeep tour.
After check-in at our office, we transfer you to the camel ride starting point. At the end of the ride, your guide meets you and continues with the planned tour.
This option does not affect your start time.
The camel ride lasts approximately one hour.

- Ride from Rum Village to Lawrence Spring
1-hour camel ride on the morning of departure
End your stay in Wadi Rum with a camel ride back toward Rum Village.
We transfer you from the camp or cave to the camel ride starting point. After the ride, you are brought back to our office.
This option extends your stay by approximately 1 hour, so departure is usually around 9:00–9:30 AM.
The camel ride lasts approximately one hour.

- Ride from the desert to Rum Village
- Transfer back to our office
2-hour camel ride on the morning of departure
Enjoy a longer camel ride through the desert before leaving Wadi Rum.
The ride begins near our camp area and goes all the way to Rum Village. After the ride, you are transferred back to our office.
If you are staying in the cave overnight, we will transfer you to the camel ride starting point in the morning.
This option extends your stay by approximately 2 hours, so departure is usually around 10:00 AM.
The camel ride lasts approximately two hours.
30 JOD per person
Includes:

- Ride from near our camp area to Rum Village
- Transfer back to our office
Sunset camel ride to the camp
Combine a camel ride through the Wadi Rum desert with an overnight stay at our desert camp.
Start from Rum Village and ride slowly across the desert toward our camp, arriving around sunset.
Dinner and overnight stay are included. The following morning, your desert exploration continues after breakfast.
This experience combines a camel ride with a relaxed evening and night at our desert camp.
Your check-in is approximately 2.5 hours before sunset.
The camel ride lasts approximately two hours.

Accommodation
Extra overnight stay at our desert camp
Arrive in Wadi Rum the evening before your tour and stay at our desert camp before starting your desert exploration the next morning.
After checking in at our office shortly before sunset, we transfer you to our camp for dinner, overnight stay, and breakfast the next morning.
This option does not affect your tour schedule and is used as an arrival extension before your desert experience.
Check-in takes place shortly before sunset.

Flexible camp sleeping (outdoor + tent)
For multi-night stays at our camp, you can combine different sleeping experiences.
This means you can spend part of your stay sleeping outdoors beneath the stars within the camp area and part of it in a private tent at our camp. All nights include full access to camp facilities.
This option is available for stays of two nights or more.

Includes:
- A combination of nights sleeping outdoors beneath the stars and in a private tent at our camp
- Full access to camp facilities
Cave camping upgrade
Replace your overnight stay at our camp with a more remote desert sleeping experience.
You spend the night in one of our cave camping locations with your guide. Sleeping takes place outdoors beneath the stars, without bathroom facilities and standard camp infrastructure.
Dinner and breakfast are enjoyed at the cave.
This option does not affect your tour schedule and is used as an alternative overnight experience.
15 JOD extra per person
Includes:
- Cave camping overnight experience
- English-speaking Bedouin guide
- Sleeping equipment
Scenic experiences
Hot air balloon flight
Experience the Wadi Rum desert from above with an early morning hot air balloon flight at sunrise.
Flights take place at or shortly after sunrise and offer wide views across the desert landscape.
The balloon flight lasts approximately one hour. The meeting point is at the Wadi Rum Visitor Center, and guests usually return there around 2–2.5 hours after sunrise.
This experience takes place separately from your tour schedule and is organized with an external operator. Guests with a rental car can drive to the meeting point themselves. Otherwise, we can help arrange a transfer.
Please note: participating in the balloon flight requires an early check-out from the camp before breakfast.
Flights may be canceled or rescheduled due to weather and wind conditions.
